BLS certification for healthcare professionals tests your knowledge in assisting in breathing and cardiac emergencies. The Healthcare Provider course teaches the skills of CPR for victims of all ages (including ventilation with a barrier device, a bag-mask device, and oxygen), and use of an AED. The course is designed for healthcare providers who care for patients in a wide variety of settings, both in and out of the hospital.
CPR course is a modular course that teaches lay rescuers how to recognize and treat life-threatening emergencies, including cardiac arrest and choking for responsive adult, child, and infant victims. Students also learn to recognize the warning signs of heart attack and stroke in adults as well as breathing difficulties in children. This program teaches rescue breathing with and without the use of barrier devices.
FIRST AID CERTIFICATION
First Aid certification tests your knowledge of basic first aid principles, and your skills in recognizing and responding to medical emergencies. The First Aid course teaches rescuers to effectively recognize and treat adult emergencies in the critical first minutes until emergency medical services personnel arrive.
Are you a new parent? What should you do if your child falls and hits his head? What if you think your daughter may have a broken arm? Should you use a heat pad or ice on that bruise? Whether you’re a parent, a concerned neighbor, or a concerned co-worker, these are questions you may have asked yourself. Whether you’re at home or at work where OSHA regulates a certain level of preparedness, first aid skills are invaluable.
